You're confused.

Trumpers have said the Nunes memo proves the FISC warrant on Carter Page was based solely on the Steele dossier and that the court wasn't told the dossier was paid for by politically engaged parties. Both of those are lies.

...... He added that the Page wiretap was "outrageous" and based on "salacious information paid for by a political campaign."

But the dossier was not the sole factor that prompted the FBI to launch its investigation or submit a FISA application targeting Page. To be sure, The Wall Street Journal reportedon Thursday that Page was on the radar of US counterintelligence officials since at least 2013 — more than three years before he joined the Trump campaign.

Republicans concede key FBI 'footnote' in Carter Page warrant Devin Nunes said Monday the FBI had disclosed political backing for a Trump-Russia dossier in October 2016, but a controversial GOP memo released last week did not mention it.

.... Republican leaders are acknowledging that the FBI disclosed the political origins of a private dossier the bureau cited in an application to surveil former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, undermining a controversial GOP memo released Friday and fueling Democratic demands to declassify more information about the bureau’s actions.

In addition to the lies by omission about the FISA warrant on Carter Page, Trumpublicans have advanced the false argument that if they could somehow taint the FISA warrant it would nullify the entire Trump-Russia investigation. That's not true because even the Nunes memo admitted the investigation didn't begin over Carter Page, but over information George Papodopoulos revealed to an Australian diplomat and which Australia passed on to the US.

So far Carter Page hasn't been indicted and none of the indictments so far (18 so far) seem to be based on the Carter Page warrant, afa we know.

That could change. DJT began loudly shouting that Obama had wiretapped him in Trump Tower after the FISA warrant was reported. Not true, but perhaps he's worried about phone conversations he had with Page? DJT wasn't being surveilled, but Page was ..... and if you talk to someone being surveilled, you might end up being overheard even if you're not the named person in the warrant.
