Trump is not helping them. Trump has actually done far more than Obama to reign Russia in. He's re-arming our Eastern European allies. He's fighting back against Russians in Syria. Recently, Trump's military killed a bunch of Russian mercenaries who attacked an American backed base. And Trump is supporting the oil industry, which is flooding the world with oil, which will eventually drive oil prices back down, which is one of the worst things that can happen to Russia, since their economy depends on high oil prices. One thing Trump should do that he has not done yet, is immediately apply sanctions to the key Russian officials called out in the latest list of our enemies of state. Not sure why he is holding off on that. I guess he still held out hopes for a reset with Russia, but that is all but impossible now.
