The people of the former USSR voted communist out of power after Gorbachev gave them free elections. It's amazing what free people do. Gorbachev thought they'd reward him just like Trump voters thought he'd get Mexico to pay for his wall. The history of people sharing in wealth is not communism. It's part of the human condition throughout time. Today, we have machines making things and the wealth they create goes into the stock market since it has no place else to go. It's not like rich people are better at doing things. They simply start off ahead of everyone else and don't have to do anything to stay rich.
