I don't really have a problem with any of it, but none of it does any good if you don't have systems that cause the rules to be consistently enforced. And in reality, none of those will stop someone like that from acquiring whatever weapon he wants off the street.

It is unfortunate, but AKs are everywhere. Any significant dope house is going to have one or more, unfortunately. I think I read there are 5.5 million on the street.

If you're going to ban them it serves no purpose unless cops are required to universally confiscate them and account for them whenever they're discovered, no questions asked.

I think there may be popular support at this time because the public thinks (rightly or wrongly) that the guns are the problem.

And yet, with over 6000 members nationwide MS-13 members do not seem to convince anyone that conservative gun owners are not the problem.

"More than a dozen members of the MS-13 gang were indicted Thursday on seven killings on Long Island spanning three years, including the deaths of several high school students last year." cnn.com
