The Republicans do that with every Democrat. Look what they did to Obama? And he was a pussy cat. He did everything in his power to be bipartisan and include the Republicans and they were having none of it. They led him on for a year with ACA until his honey moon was over and then all of them stabbed him in the back. He even abandoned his liberal base and the Democratic party trying to make peace with them. All to no avail. And in the back rooms they were laying a trap e.g. Gerrymandering and minority repression and when they sprung their trap they slaughtered us. And every time the Republicans get in office they never extend the olive branch. They push their fascist agenda to the max and lay waste to the Dems. Like under Nixon, Reagan, bush and now. I guess I was sensitive to this because I saw the dems in Alaska successfully fight the Republicans for 40 years and we had a lot of success in a very red state. But we did it by fighting the pubs and like them, we gave no quarter. We got four dem governors elected and when they took office all the appointed pubs were gone on day one and replaced with dems. The pubs are junk yard dogs and we never forgot that and never turned our back on them for a second.
