Well, I am getting very dizzy watching this screen. We are starting to move back up again and hopefully to stay.

Glen, don't whimper. Die a martyr's death. After all, this is what you believe in. Not even mentally let Kiri win his bet!!! Now get up from your knees and go out and have some fun <g>

From my VP of exploration at a major oil co.:

"Crude has not bottomed. I see 16 (NYMEX) by the end of the week. 15.5 should be the bottom w/ the price averaging 17 to 18 for '98. We have budgeted for 17"

So, too late to sell, but a little downside left. Ave price being between 17 and 18 for '98 will do our drillers just fine. They will explode to the upside as product prices normalize. In conclusion, you can believe an opthamologist who thinks he's an oil analyst and look for $12 oil, or you can go w/ a guy that's in the business and actually rents these rigs. I know who I'm going w/, but then again I'm just a peasant and not as fancy as some of you trader types. (gg)

I watched GLM pretty closely today and virtually all its
volume 3,000,000 plus shares traded as the stock went up.
Then it fell 5% in no time on no vlume. My conclusion
is that portends a strong rally. The specialist took it
down to scare some selling so they can strenghten their inventory
to sell as the stock rises.
just wishfull thinking?

Glen, re This has got to be a record setter for a sector losing it's shirt.

I think the DDX (disk drive index) has to be up there also among sector's losing their shirt the quickest and hardest. That's why I'm very hesitant to jump back in here (drillers, etc.) yet. The lesson I learned in the dd stocks is: NEVER assume that "they can't go lower".
