In fact when the price of gold went down it was and is deflation and all the other (oil etc) should follow down. Even during the depression people still worked and production continued.

The question for me is where all that inflated money went and what they are going to buy with it now. Diamonds may be part of it but if I had made all that money I would be purchasing physical gold. The price is so low some one will wake up to its value. Regards

VP, your commment:
>During the Depression of the 30's gold and mining shares increased in value....

This comment should not be taken in isolation. The POG was arbitrarily set higher by the President. Without that "stroke of the pen", IMO the price of shares would have been very much lower.

Cheers, Bob

VP, I've looked a little for info re. you request, without much success. Try this link for starters, click on 'diamond news and analysis' for one:

diamondsinfo.com
-a lil talk about supply, etc

Here's (again) a page of d.links that might lead you somewhere:
goldsheet.simplenet.com
(mostly diam. exploration co's)
-Including this interesting blurb:
diamondworks.com
