s martin: I don't think it matters what you or I think, except as a philsophical discussion. The brokerage firms are not going to risk money based on what any of us say. (not a flame, here)
This really comes down to dollars and cents. By having the NO posting rule, they keep the risk of suits, to a minimum. There may be SOME brokers, who will ignore the company rules, but (and I don't know, I am not an attorney) they may be making themselves liable personally by doing so. Once a few of the "rule breakers" gets sued, they will all follow company policy. I am not making an opinion as to the correctness of this policy. It is just there, and people will have to follow it.
Ask yourself this, if you owned a firm, would you want someone to risk your business. That's really what it comes down to. al
