There was no evidence presented that Manafort was laundering money. There was suspicion in some circles, but no evidence. Until there was. There was no evidence that Pineda was selling fake bank accounts. Most people were not even aware he existed. Until there was. And so on. That is a very slender reed to support your hopes. Now it very well may be that no evidence will ever be presented. But it is sort of foolish to claim that there isn't any evidence to be had. Even more foolish to take the word of a compulsive liar. Given Trump's track record, it is safer to bet against what he claims about himself than to bet on it.
