Abiotic oil? Now now.. read my post.. I was VERY careful to say abiotic hydrocarbons.. not oil.. Peat for example is obviously biotic.. There is a lot of methane in the universe.. it is a precursor to life.. and hence when life breaks down it reverts.. think compost...
