I don't get cable. However, I do look things up when someone directs me to a story being covered. I remember the coverage and thinking Patty got off because she was a pampered rich kid. I checked a couple of years ago and found that she is living a fairly mundane life. She apparently likes to do community theater and typical life of leisure sorts of stuff. I don't accept the brain washing defense. It didn't seem fair that she got off at the time but it doesn't seem society has been the worse for it. I suspect the CNN slant will be focused on the evil "white privilege" angle. It's at the core of the new left movement. You're either privileged and thus a member of the evildoers or part of a victimized sub-group... sometimes both, like white women and college children.
