I recall the same kind of thing happening with re to Microsoft, where Netscape announced that AOL was going to use them as their browser, then overnight it was Microsoft IE, with Navigator offered as an option, in exchange for putting the AOL Icon on the desktop of Win 95, as an option.

This seems to be the way that people negotiate with Microsoft - sign with the hated competitor du jour, then Microsoft negotiates in earnest.

TCI settled with MSFT at 2:30am on Saturday, I wonder if they had a hangover...I mean headache later? <GG>
