That is, my response was that there is no reason to think it would affect outcomes, or at best, a teeny bit, which were the findings from the previous ban. To be clear, I don't care if they ban the weapons. But I do wish they would establish metrics so we understand what works and what doesn't. Which, to me, is among the most fundamental problems with government programs.
