Sigh.

It really didn't matter in Vegas whether the people in the concert were armed or not. It was chosen because of the number of people there. For his purposes, it might have been better if they were armed. Because the ones with guns probably would have stood there trying to figure out where to return fire instead of running around. As it was, unless the people had long guns and telescopic sights, they had no chance of returning fire. And even if they had those things, it still would have been unlikely that anyone would have been able to figure out exactly where he was shooting from. And the shooter knew all that.

In Orlando, the guy was looking to shoot gays. To do so, you go where they are. Not many places attract gays and have a plethora of guns. Maybe a police station.

As to Sandy Hook, don't be stupid. He was bullied there. People on the spectrum tend to get bullied, sometimes brutally so. It is one of the reasons why those on the spectrum often have depression and/or anxiety as co-morbid conditions. It is more common for them to commit suicide than go on shooting sprees like Adam Lansa and Elliot Rodger though.

I think you are making a very basic error of assuming there is no connection if you can think of some scenario, no matter how far-fetched, that might counter that. You also tend to discount information that doesn't fit into your pre-conceived conclusions.
