For the past two years I've been hearing that SRAM makers will not be tarred with the DRAM brush. That the overcapacity problem in DRAM will not spill over into SRAMS. Let me tell you...whether it is justified or not, the market takes these mfgs down in tandem. No DRAM or SRAM co. has escaped the carnage that has taken place since Sept 1995. More important, no one sees any end of the oversupply problem in sight. The only survivors will be those cos that migrate to specialized chips in the consumer electronics field, and it's looking to me that as this strategy is catching on, even this field might get crowded.
