Seems to me like the liberals have far more in common with the Russians than the other half of this country. Maybe the liberals should move to Russia, since that's how they like to play their politics and economics.

Actually the liberals have far more in common with Hugo Chavez and the Chavezismos of Venezuela than they do with the Russians.

Both will do whatever it takes to gain and consolidate power. However, Venezuela tried way too hard to "spread the wealth" and implement the liberal wet dream of socialism.

Putin, by comparison, is more right-wing in his beliefs. Plus he seems to be much more competent in his machinations. And as we all know, competency is sorely lacking within the Democrats.
