Preview Travel booked strong Q4 Stock has lagged behind other Internet plays By Darren Chervitz, CBS MarketWatch Wed Jan 14 15:22:16 1998 cbs.marketwatch.com NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Its shares may be lagging behind those of other newly public Internet players, but Preview Travel had a strong fourth quarter, according to a Hambrecht & Quist analyst. Genni Combes, an Internet analyst at H&Q, said Preview Travel will "slightly beat" her revenue and earnings estimates when the firm releases its fourth quarter results later this month. Combes added she is also "optimistic about the March quarter." H&Q took Preview Travel public last November. Preview, which publishes travel-related content and sells reservations on its Web sites, is one of the few newly public pure-play Internet stocks that hasn't made a strong move upward. Even on its first day of trading, Preview barely budged from its $11 offering price.
