I was speaking to my daughter and she reminded me of how Comey and Mueller ten years ago headed off the secret service when they visited Ashcroft in the hospital trying to get him to sign some oppressive orders. Ashcroft told the secret service Comey was acting AG. It was said that after Ashcroft told the secret service that Comey was in charge, Mueller told him there is a time in one's life when you have to stand up and be counted. I am thinking Mueller and his team realize this is one of those moments when they stand between the rule of law and authoritarian tyranny. Story: latimes.com
