I have not, however, been able to make the connection you have made. Again, I was addressing bunker schools, which I would consider suffocating, even bludgeoning childhood and utterly oppressive to the light in a child. A kid could not come out of that feeling that the world was a bright and shiny place. The oppression would be courtesy of the government that chose darkness and fear for their environment. I recall air raid drills when I was a kid. This is the similar but more intense and intrusive.
