I once went to a lonely restaurant at ‘end of the road’ in tiny place Lech deep in the isolated valley, Austria, getting there by tracked vehicle through the snow. The group was expecting to find fondue meal. Instead we were served Mongolian hot pot. The locals did not seem to know they were serving Mongolian hot pot; they called it hot oil fondue.
