Hey thanks for the response. Basically it would be for me and some friends. A small setup to allow us to develop some ideas. The basic roundup of instruments are involved: guitar, bass, piano. I want a Midi, too, and plan to use a drum kit, you know the kind with the little pads. I don't want to get too bogged down in the technical side of it. That in itself points to tape, no? But you really seem to be saying it is good to have both. That way, you can mix and do effects on the computer, then put it all on the tape when you are done. No? Thanks again for your help.
