I view the world as G-d's act of creation so when I worship G-d's creatures and his creation, I am paying homage to G-d also. I don't need a bible to justify my actions. I have direct contact with G-d. And my first (late) wife called herself an atheist and I had no problem with that whatsoever because I am religiously tolerant. I understood her reasons. Fact is she was no atheist, she disliked G-d, to put it mildly.
