Gun control laws are ineffective feel good measures by well meaning people. Until there is a Supreme Court that will reinterpret the 2nd Amendment to make individual gun ownership a privilege rather than a right the carnage will continue.

There are 300 million guns in circulation in the United States. No one knows who owns them. They can be easily bought and sold on any street corner.

Until the 300 million guns can be required to be registered and eventually confiscated people will continue to die in large numbers. This likely won't happen for 50 or 100 years. By then perhaps 1 million additional people will die. A crude but effective form of population control.

Yes, conservatives, we do want to confiscate your guns, and we will, although most folks alive today won't live long enough to see it happen.

You missed California, whose record isn't exactly sterling on gun violence. You also missed the entire states of both Idaho & Montana, who have quite loose gun control laws and very low gun violence, which are strong evidence that the issues aren't really about AR-15 or general gun control.

And you need to do that work on "Drop the four of the highest crime cities in each country and then compare." yourself. To not do that is severely biased and bordering on propaganda, much like missing the mention of states who have quite loose gun control laws and very low gun violence..

Then you should look up the number of lives that are saved or protected by people in the US who legally own guns (or pejoratively termed "assault" weapons) for self defense from things like home invasions.

And do take into account that I'm in favor of 100% background checks, mental health issue related gun control (including no guns at all for folk on various drugs like Prozac), plus varying penalties for law enforcement idiotic failures at the FBI and in Broward County.
