Police are also armed with AR15's, shotguns, and sniper rifles......body armor, gases, explosives, armored cars, choppers and the latest electronics, eg night vision.....they rarely act alone....

Pistols and shotguns lack the accuracy of and deliver only about 10% of an AR15's knockdown power.

And the AR15's magazine holds way more ammo.

Four officers with pistols and shotguns at one end of a corridor, one lunatic with an AR15 at the other end equals four shredded officers in about 5 seconds.
