HILLSBORO, Ore., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Lattice Semiconductor Corporation
(Nasdaq: LSCC) today announced financial results for its third fiscal quarter
ended December 27, 1997. Revenue for the quarter was $60.0 million, up
18 percent from the $51.0 million reported in the same quarter a year ago but
a decrease of six percent from last quarter's revenue of $64.1 million.
Net income for the quarter was $13.65 million ($0.57 per share), up
21 percent from the $11.28 million ($0.49 per share) reported in the same
quarter last year but a decrease of nine percent from last quarter's net
income of $14.93 million ($0.62 per share).
Third quarter revenue was adversely impacted by the failure to ship close
to $4 million in backlog due to the ongoing financial crisis in Korea and the
previously announced insolvency of Lattice's Korean sales
representative/distributor.
