Lucretius,

you may want to read the article.

techstocks.com

I don't think the article is pointing to future growth only. It's very clear about the growth in orders from Europe via the internet (read low cost of sales = increased margins) up to this quarter.

Over the last 12 months we have gained significant share in
Europe," James Richardson, president of Cisco Systems Europe,
told Reuters, noting that "business in Europe is going quite
well."

True, it does go on to state that this growth will continue well into the future.

In the last fiscal month, about 25 percent of our business
in Europe came over the Internet," he said. "By the end of the
fiscal year in July we should be at 50 percent."

Lucretius, It's clear we have different opinions what CSCO will do in the short term (I'm not sure what your position is long term). I'm long both short and long term and will hold my position through earnings. What about you? Don't be shy....

Gary

how about giving us the specifics on your short position so we can vicariosly share your profit when this stock collapses? How many shares did you short and at what price? This will give us a better prospective on what kind of player you really are. Be honest.
