Nice straw man. I said nothing of the sort. You hear what you so desperately want to hear.

"Physicians get to choose what insurance they want to take or whether they want to accept any insurance at all."

Well...

Lawyers get to choose what customers they want to take or whether they want to accept any customers at all.

Plumbers get to choose what customers they want to take or whether they want to accept any customers at all.

Homeowners get to choose what insurance they want or whether they want to any insurance at all.

Ain't freedom great?

Rarebird,
Physicians get to choose what insurance they want to take or whether they want to accept any insurance at all.
And why is that a bad thing? Doctors don't work for free.

If Medicare, for instance, doesn't compensate doctors enough for their services, doctors will have no choice but to refuse accepting more Medicare patients.

The real issue here isn't that you want doctors to work for free. The real issue here is that you want to force others to pay for your medical needs. Hence single payer.
