Do you sense we're living in la-la land? We went from near zero interest rates for a decade to $2 trillion of new stimulus from a tax cut. Will we ever see a free market again? The algorithms don't understand what a free market looks like because they never experienced one.

Interesting thought on earnings and gold. On the earnings front, I was thinking about going back to my correlation analysis and entering in another data stream using earnings. So the equation would look like this:
SP500 index level = f (Fed B/S, SP500 Earnings). I bet that explains more of the variation in the index level. I'll look into it and get back to you. Also, I've put gold back on my watch list for a good entry point.
