Hi Brian.....here's the bone:
"AMAT is well-positioned as the semiconductor industry moves towards sub-.25 micron production, new materials (like copper), and to 300mm (12")diameter wafer sizes. AMAT picked up market share in 1997 in all segments and increased R&D spending by 18%. Continue to buy at 29 or lower for a target of $40."
