BB, I own some shares in the firm I work for ,,unfortunately they are not traded, we are only told what the book value is every so often, and book is what I can get if I wish to sell, the hitch is I cannot buy them back. They have been paying approx. 10% div's the last few years , but if this market should take the pipe , i'm sure the value will drop .What to do , What to do..

BB, I got this fearfull feeling they're going to lower rates today,, this could precipitate a vicious b/m rally . Is this possible in the near term?

Bonnie, Thanks for the new tea leaves. Looks like my call on a bounce today turned out to be correct after all - but I was almost certain that I was wrong this morning. My call is for a few days of bounce followed by a major decline (as per GZ's outside reversal (millennium thread) and my Gann trend change days). In bear markets rallies are violent but short lived. The brokerage decline probably is a realization that the big party is coming to an end. I was busy today and didn't get a chance to watch any of the wire services - was a major buy back by a big company announced today?
