yeah, I added a statement on 538 in my last post, but too late for you to read it, so I'll repost here. Either way, when the sampling methodology is flawed, then the results are flawed. CNN is a great example, because they do VERY sloppy sampling, but they have a huge audience. There is no other word for it. They are publishing propaganda that has no bearing on reality. Below is my statement on 538:
BTW, I like Nate Silver of 538. He is a good statistician, but he blundered big time in the last election. He allowed his sampling methodologies to become biased as well, maybe he got too influenced by his former partner, the New York Times.
