Tom,

I hope I have earned your respect with my last sell signal. Anyway, you've got a buy signal today at 14 7/8.

With respect to be overvalued. If you guys can make the money that you are expected to make this year, then yes, I agree with you, ATVI is not overvalued. Good luck.

Regards,

Vic

Alex,

Thanks for the link to Hinton's post. The Virgin rumors...I thought Virgin was
a unit of Spelling Entertainment and that Spelling was trying to spin-off the division in the absence of a sale to the public?

Anyway...2 things....

Ritual (Formerly Hipnotic) makers of Scourge of Armagon and Sin for
ATVI is now part of Gathering of Developers. Good thing Scourge was
not a huge seller (though a great looking game). We'll see how Sin does later.

Second thing...Some people were speculating that the $18.75 share price on the convertible shares that were just issued by ATVI might place a cap on the stock in the $18 level for fears of dilution. But these shares yield 6% and I find it hard to believe that holders of the shares will cash in when the stock goes above $18.75, unless of course the stock is highly overvalued. Why give up a solid 6% return PLUS the potential for some nice appreciation of the stock when you can have both? I think holders of these shares will keep them and cash them in when they mature, so the threat of a near term dilution is minimal.

Tom C.

Alex! get this! Quake II takes #1 spot above both Riven AND Myst!

Multimedia Wire: 1/13/98

TOP-SELLING PC GAMES, Dec. 28-Jan. 3

For the first time since the wheel was invented, a title took the
No. 1 spot away from Broderbund's [BROD] dynamic duo, Riven and Myst.
And it took a proven winner from Activision [ATVI] to do it. Quake II
has been climbing steadily over the past few weeks, perhaps an
indication that there is still a place for good ol' fashioned blood
and gore at the top. Mindscape's Lego Island, Mattel's [MAT] Barbie
Magic Hair Styler and LucasArts' Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II dropped
from the chart. (PC Data, Ann Stephens, president, 703/435-1025)

This Last Average
Week Week Title Publisher Price

1 2 Quake II Activision $45
2 3 Microsoft Flight Simulator Microsoft $43
3 1 Riven: The Sequel to Myst Broderbund $40
4 5 Myst Broderbund $17
