The turning point in debt creation was Reagan. People who call themselves fiscal conservatives were/are all liars. They're really tax cutters who create massive debt. Reagan nearly tripled the debt and was obviously the unfiscal conservative. The fact that anyone in the country supported an explosion of debt is testimony to the moral corruption of that person and party.

Since the Reagan years the gop hasn't looked backed and have only gotten worse. They "promised" to never raise taxes which also means "always" create debt. Debt is future taxes plus interest so we must call their base idiots. Now we're saddled with so much debt we'll never have a surplus again. How did we get here? Tax cuts and dumb people who think everything is free.
