Much like coal, this is the steel backdrop.

The US is producing 7.7% more steel than in March of 1990 with over 48,000 fewer workers.



Just ONE company that uses steel and would be adversely affected by higher steel prices, Campbell Soup employees 18,000 people.

I would much rather the U.S. focus on 21th century technologies rather than 19th century technologies like coal and steel.
