Let's face it the only reason why I even considered an investment in a company that is expected to loose money for years is the fact that the internet world wide is doubling this year.....that's right 50 Million users now, 100 Million users by the end of 1998.

We Need more Bandwidth................source...

"The population of worldwide Internet users is expected to surge from 50 million in 1997 to 100 million users in 1998, according to a study released in December 1997 by International Data Corporation. "

I have not seen any reference to pre-determined minimum share value. What happens to them after the lockup period is up to the shareholder.

I agree with your trading ranges. I think this run up will test the old highs(~30). Unless there is more news on new investment or cable alliances, ATHM will have a hard time going higher.

Sooner or later some news like that will happen and the real explosion will begin. We've seen it happen to other "hot" internet stocks. Momentum investors start piling on and @Home explodes. There is no financial reason, only the hot money looking for a quick million.

Until then, just play the cycle. I do think that the trading range has probably moved up. Possibly 22 - 28

Let's just hope the Intel earnings are decent. Otherwise, the whole tech sector is screwed.
