Wait, so millionaire Leftists who belong to an industry rife with sexual assault will instead focus on gun control, while awarding each other trophies for gun-filled movies with armed bodyguards at their sides?

Got it.

9/11 and Parkland: When Systems Fail - How Obama Killed 17 High Schoolers
By Patricia McCarthy

americanthinker.com

Everyone paying attention knows now that the Parkland massacre by a severely troubled and dangerous young man was the result of a failure of a host of government institutions. The FBI received several specific warnings and ignored them. The Broward County sheriff's department also ignored countless notifications, as did the local police. Much of the inefficiency was probably due to sheer incompetence, people not doing the jobs they were meant to do.

But much was the result of a truly ridiculous program invented by the Obama administration, the Promise policy.
Jack Cashill has written about this in depth, as the same program was also the reason Trayvon Martin was roaming the streets when he was killed. The Obama administration wanted to end the racial disparity in the prison population and so bribed school districts and local law enforcement to simply not arrest minority kids in their schools, no matter how criminal their behavior. This was meant to stop the "pipeline to prison" that had been endemic among school-age minority kids. As a result, criminally-inclined kids became emboldened to escalate their illegal activity. Nikolas Cruz bought ten guns and passed every background check because no one reported his accelerating criminality to the Feds. And because of this nonsensical program, seventeen young people are dead.

For those who have not read Lawrence Wright's outstanding book, The Looming Tower, tune into the series based on it now airing on Hulu. It tells the story of how the terrorist attack of 9/11/01 was virtually allowed to happen thanks to a similarly catastrophic policy that banned intelligence agencies from communicating with one another. The story bears much in common with the systemic failures that led to the Florida school murders. In the days before 9/11, a "wall" of long standing was made higher and thicker that "prevented communication between intelligence agents and criminal investigators." This meant that the CIA could not, and would not, share information with the FBI. It was Jamie Gorelick, Deputy Attorney General in 1995, who drafted a memo that made the existing law even more restrictive. The original wall was built by Democrats who loathed the FBI and created the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in 1978.

After the WTC bombing in 1993, there was an obvious need for more cooperation between agencies. Gorelick's memo did exactly the opposite. Counter-intelligence investigations were to be separate and distinct from criminal probes. So whatever was uncovered by the CIA could not be shared or combined with the fruit of FBI investigations. It was all about "appearances." That and the fact that the left at the time loathed the FBI; then-Director Louis Freeh was investigating the already long list of Clinton campaign crimes of raising money from numerous foreign sources. How things change. Today's FBI has willingly sabotaged itself in service of the left, to protect the corruptions of the Obama administration and to cover up the decades of nefarious activities of the Clintons.

It seems clear that in both cases, and most likely thousands of others unknown to the public at large, the ever-growing power and reach of government plans and policies implemented under the cover of darkness, (the Gorelick memo only came to light during the 9/11 Commission) and often for purely political purposes have put millions of law-abiding citizens at great risk. Such power, imperiously put into effect and stupidly abused, led to 9/11 and the three thousand plus deaths that occurred that day and those that came after among the first responders. And such power is reliably responsible for the seventeen deaths in Parkland. Big government is failing us, which most likely explains Trump's victory in 2016.

Eight years of the Obama administration's fundamental transformation of our country left a majority of us depressed and branded as "deplorable." The left does not suffer opposing views, it criminalizes them. While the primacy of the race/class/gender meme has long prevailed as de rigueur on university campuses, it now rules nearly every aspect of America life, from restroom edicts to making race and gender a matter of choice. Black Lives Matter and the LGBT movements now have more power than our churches, businesses, and all other traditional institutions. The rest of us are expected to cower and submit before the leftist dictates of the new American culture and to dispense with the values once held dear.

Victimhood rules. If one is not a victim, then he or she is an oppressor. That is how it is. That is how Nicolas Cruz was able to buy ten guns. That is how the Saudi terrorists were able to take down the WTC. Consequences be damned.

Trump Accuses Obama Administration of Wrongfully Investigating Him - CRIMINAL OBONZO MUST BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE FOR THE SAKE OF OUR NATION

pjmedia.com

As special counsel Robert Mueller reportedly targets all communications between President Donald Trump and his senior campaign team with a grand jury subpoena, Trump fired off the following tweet Monday morning:
This is reminiscent of Trump’s tweet in which he accused the Obama administration of “wire tapping” Trump Tower. That is a plausible accusation, as National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers -- who had submitted a FISA court review of suspicious spying on American citizens -- met with Trump at Trump Tower days after his election. The very next day, the president-elect and his team vacated Trump Tower to Bedminster, New Jersey.

Now, as Mueller heats up his investigation on the heels of released memos that question the validity of a Russia-Trump collusion, Trump is once again pointing the finger at what he thinks is the real scandal -- the Obama administration spying on a political opponent to keep him out of the White House.

Could there be any truth to Trump’s claim that the Obama administration started an investigation with “zero proof of wrongdoing” before the November election? Let’s look at some facts.

As we can see from a timeline compiled by Sharyl Attkisson, the FBI began a counterintelligence investigation in July of 2016 based on the DNC email “hack,” information from British spy Christopher Steele, and suspicious activity involving Carter Page ( whom the FBI had been investigating separately with no evidence of involvement in collusion between Russia and Trump) and George Papadopoulos.

FBI Director James Comey violated procedure at this time by not informing congressional oversight he was investigating Trump, a significant detail that came out through questioning by Rep. Elise Stefanik at the Comey hearing. Why did he inform Obama and not congressional oversight? Because the matter was “too sensitive,” Comey answered. Yet, it is exactly because matters are sensitive that they are to be reported to congressional oversight.

We also know that opposition research, which eventually became the Steele dossier filled with unconfirmed and false information, was used as a basis to investigate Trump. In an interview with the Senate Judiciary Committee, Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS -- the firm that hired Steele for opposition research paid for by the Clinton campaign -- said it was Steele’s idea to contact the FBI in June or July 2016 with information about Trump.

Simpson said the reason Steele contacted the FBI was because he suspected Trump of colluding with the Russians in the hack of the DNC computers. In response to a question by a committee member about whether Steele thought a crime was in progress, Simpson called it “espionage.” “They were hacking into the computers of Democrats and think tanks,” he said. “That’s a crime.”

Despite the claim, he didn’t offer any proof that Trump colluded with the Russians in hacking DNC computers.

At this point, there is still no solid ground for starting an investigation. Even the “hacking” of the DNC computers by the Russians is a narrative full of holes, despite law enforcement claims to the contrary. An article by Patrick Lawrence published in August 2017 at The Nation details why we can’t say for certain that the DNC was hacked by the Russians, much less that Trump was somehow involved:

Forensic investigators, intelligence analysts, system designers, program architects, and computer scientists of long experience and strongly credentialed are now producing evidence disproving the official version of key events last year. Their work is intricate and continues at a kinetic pace as we speak. But its certain results so far are two, simply stated, and freighted with implications:

  • There was no hack of the Democratic National Committee’s system on July 5 last year -- not by the Russians, not by anyone else. Hard science now demonstrates it was a leak -- a download executed locally with a memory key or a similarly portable data-storage device. In short, it was an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system. This casts serious doubt on the initial “hack,” as alleged, that led to the very consequential publication of a large store of documents on WikiLeaks last summer.
  • Forensic investigations of documents made public two weeks prior to the July 5 leak by the person or entity known as Guccifer 2.0 show that they were fraudulent: Before Guccifer posted them they were adulterated by cutting and pasting them into a blank template that had Russian as its default language. Guccifer took responsibility on June 15 for an intrusion the DNC reported on June 14 and professed to be a WikiLeaks source -- claims essential to the official narrative implicating Russia in what was soon cast as an extensive hacking operation. To put the point simply, forensic science now devastates this narrative.
The article was panned by the DNC as a conspiracy theory, but the facts have not been countered with hard evidence, and the editors of The Nation have defended publishing the article after extensive review. Even if you doubt Lawrence’s argument that the Russians didn’t hack the DNC, there is still no evidence that Trump had anything to do with the operation.

With the email hack and Steele’s opposition research out of the way as no basis for an investigation, we’re left with a couple of meetings with Russians. Jonathan Turley, professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington, handles this expertly, casting doubt on the entire Trump-Russia theory (and a theory is all it is and ever was):

After more than a year of intensive investigation by both the special counsel and multiple congressional committees, there is no direct evidence of Trump colluding with Russians. After roughly 100 criminal counts against 19 defendants and five plea deals with cooperating witnesses, there is no direct evidence. After dozens of pages of “speaking indictments” by Robert Mueller describing Russian operatives trying to influence the election and false statements from former Trump aides, there is no direct evidence. What evidence is known does not constitute even a growl, let alone a bark. Much of the “evidence” cited involves two meetings in an English pub and Trump Tower.

It is clear that Russians were trying to cultivate a Trump campaign adviser, George Papadopoulos, and that in May 2016 he participated in a night of heavy drinking with Alexander Downer(affiliated with the Clinton Foundation), the Australian high commissioner to the United Kingdom, during which he said the Russians had Clinton campaign emails. Moreover, members of Congress like Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) have cited the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Russians as evidence of collusion.

Those contacts, however, fall far short of any evidence of collusion and can actually be used to counter such allegations.

Turley also makes the observation that if the Russians sought to collude with Trump Jr. in the hacking event, their meeting with him was “curiously late and public for that purpose,” since the meeting at Trump Tower occurred weeks after the hack. The only conclusion that we actually have evidence for, Turley says, is that the Russians sought to sew discord in our election by disrupting both campaigns. They certainly succeeded at that.

So is Trump right that he was investigated by the Obama administration without any legitimate reason months before the election? It seems so. Or at least, as Turley says, we have a strong reason to be skeptical of the Trump-Russia collusion narrative:
It takes willful blindness not to acknowledge either the lack of direct evidence of collusion or the implausibility of many of the theories abounding on cable news programs. None of this means that people cannot speculate on the existence of entirely undisclosed evidence, but some skepticism with the speculation would be helpful.

US: Muslim Calls for Murder Increasing
by Judith Bergman
March 6, 2018 at 5:00 am

gatestoneinstitute.org

  • Far from being "isolated" events, calls for jihad against all non-Muslims began in the US several decades ago.
  • It would be a mistake to view the hate preached against Jews differently from the hate preached against other non-Muslims. Both are sanctioned by the Quran and the hadiths. It is this hate against anyone "other" -- and that is still taken to heart by many Muslims -- that drives Islamic terrorism against the West.
  • Muslim supremacists are apparently acceptable; white supremacists are not.
  • Yes, other religious books are also filled with hate verses, but as the author Bruce Bawer points out, many "Muslims still live by them."

In December 2017, four imams -- at mosques in North Carolina, New Jersey and Texas -- called for killing Jews. Two of the imams quoted from a hadith that says:

"The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him".
Two other imams, respectively, asked Allah "to destroy the Zionists and their allies, and those who assist them" and "to wreak vengeance upon the plundering oppressors".

Prior to these December calls, in July 2017, two imams in California (Riverside and Davis) also called for killing Jews. One imam quoted the hadith above. He later apologized, claiming that "The last thing that I would do is intentionally hurt anyone, Muslim, Jewish or otherwise. It is not in my heart".

It may not be in his heart, but it was in his mouth, and it is in the Quran and the hadiths, which are filled [1] with supremacist and violent references not only to Jews, but to all non-Muslims. ...

Glenn K. Beaton: We let Obama defy the law, and took a step toward autocracy

The Aspen Beat ^ |
March 3, 2018 | Glenn K. Beaton

"When the president does it, that means it's not illegal." — President Richard Nixon Early in the residency of Barack Obama, some activists pressured him to stop deporting illegals... But Obama was a smart lawyer surrounded by other smart lawyers. He even boasted that he had been a Constitutional law professor. He had actually just been a part-time and untenured instructor, but he still knew that the president had no authority to ignore the immigration laws. According to the New York Times and Washington Post, he clearly said so... at least 17 times. But then he did it anyway. ......

France to set age of sexual consent at 15 after rape outcry - MUSLIMS CHANGING LAWS

By Euan McKirdy, CNN
Updated 5:47 AM ET, Tue March 6, 2018

(CNN)France's government has proposed setting a formal age of sexual consent after two-high profile cases involving 11-year-old girls, according to the country's Equality Minister.

Equality Minister Marlene Schiappa said the government "has decided to set the age at 15," after consultations with the public and an expert panel. She said a new law would be presented to Council of Ministers -- France's equivalent of a cabinet -- on March 21.

In France, current laws criminalize sex with children under the age of 15 but prosecutors must prove that the sexual act was forced.

Two cases involving the 11-year-old girls provoked outrage in France after the alleged perpetrators were acquitted of rape.

In November a 30-year-old man was cleared of rape after the court found that the victim had not been subjected to "constraint, threat, violence or surprise."

In the other case, charges against a 28-year-old man, also accused of raping an 11-year-old girl, were downgraded to "sexual relations with a minor," according to French news agency AFP.

Schiappa said that the French President wanted to set the age of consent at 15 and she "had expressed the same preference on many occasions."

In October 2017, she told CNN that she wanted to address rape culture.

"We want to fix an age in the law below which it's always forbidden to have sex with children, with young girls. Below which it's always considered as a rape," she said in an interview.

The law, once implemented, will set the age at which a person cannot agree to any sexual intercourse at 15 and will criminalize any sexual activity with any minor younger than that age.

Saskya Vandoorne contributed to this report.

probe has tie to Clintons

The Hill [Washington, DC], by John Solomon & Alison Spann

Original Article

The Australian diplomat whose tip in 2016 prompted the Russia-Trump investigation previously arranged one of the largest foreign donations to Bill and Hillary Clinton’s charitable efforts, documents show. Former Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer’s role in securing $25 million in aid from his country to help the Clinton Foundation fight AIDS is chronicled in decade-old government memos archived on the Australian foreign ministry’s website. Downer and former President Clinton jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding in February 2006 that spread out the grant money over four years ...
