ll eyes now turn to sector bellwether - Intel... Stock advanced nearly 4 points on Monday as street betting that company will at least meet expectations (given lack of warning)... According to Zack's street looking for gain of $0.93... However, whisper number is closer to $0.90... But Briefing maintains that focus won't be on headline number but on company's comments regarding future growth as real impact from Asia likely to be 3- to 6-months off... Street will also be focusing closely on margins, as increased price competition and growing demand for sub $1000 PCs expected to pressure company's comparatively high margins... If INTC can deliver the goods across the board, tech stocks will get a huge psychological boost... On the other hand, a disappointing number will strengthen the bearish case.
