That lack of ability was a problem 36 years ago in NZ when men would get a redundancy payment, buy a truck and become a contractor. To get business they cut their price to cover operating costs. But years later when their truck was dead they would not have banked money for replacement.

Such ignorance and desperation are terrible problems for people.
