US car makers and above all US consumers are going to be hurt the most. DEFLECTION was instituted following a bout of bad news: Kurshner, UAE/SA/Qatar, Hicks etc. So, US consumers will pay dearly for Trump's latest deflection. Is Trump tired of "all the winnings" yet???

Locogringo, WTF is this tariff going to accomplish anyway?

It's funny how conservatives complained about bailing out the U.S. auto industry while liberals cheered it and praised Obama for saving hundreds of thousands of jobs.

Now it's so-called "conservatives" who are cheering this tariff and the benefits it will have on the U.S. auto industry, while liberals suddenly discover the benefits of free trade and unfettered competition.

Geez, both sides are complete hypocrites. Trump is unwittingly exposing this nonsense. People wonder why I'm not as anti-Trump as I should be, and this is why. His antics force us to look at ourselves and ask, "Are we really being true to our own principles?"
