Well, you still didn't figure out the difference between this
adminstration and the previous ones. This adminstration did more than
what they talk. Keeping silence is always a best way to focus on the
future's direction. Rhapsody is the Apple's best secret weapon to
gain more share in workstation market. I believe it is right on
schedule if not ahead. When the time comes, they will let you know
more details.

I believe that Rhapsody will initially be aimed at the server market. Mainly because the Premiere release won't be as GUI'ed as the average Mac user would like, and because of the continued improvements of the MacOS.

At first we were led to believe that Rhapsody would be a replacement for the MacOS but now it is clear that the MacOS is going to receive many additional upgrades in the future, including it's placement on the Mach kernal, which is the same kernal that Rhapsody runs on. Accordingly, the MacOS will gain several advanced features such as preemptive multitasking, and protected memory. The MacOS can be improved significantly enough to suit the needs of normal computer users, not that it doesn't well serve its purpose now.

The Yellow Box will run on top of the MacOS so a MacOS user won't necessarily need Rhapsody only, to run Rhapsody applications. The average Mac user will have the ease of use and consistancy of the MacOS, along with the ability to run Yellow Box applications, as will Windows 95 users who choose not to run Rhapsody independantly but on top of their current OS.
