There have been some fudged statistics and some fake reports. There have also been some hysterical lefty calls for action, most notably, Al Gore's infamous presentations. However, what we have here is a multi-disciplinary scientific community that has all come to the same conclusion using their various tools of each trade. When so many different scientific disciplines bring overwhelming evidence to the table and they are mostly pointing the same direction, it's probably a good idea to believe and start thinking about how to take action. Bottom line is that I believe the science, which says humans are causing an acceleration in the average warming of the planet and that this warming is causing and will continue to cause increasing loss of capital and human life, as well as accelerating extinction events of various flare and fauna, just as we have recorded over the last few decades. Not good. Too bad this President has bought into the ideology of the GOP on this issue, instead of looking at the science for himself. Having said that, I think the Paris Accord was another way to steal more money from the US to subsidize other countries and it only resulted in a 0.5% reduction in greenhouse gases over a 70 year period. So I'm glad Trump pulled out of that, but I wish he wouldn't roll back some of Obama's other measures like the increase in the MPG fleet requirements and so on. So now you can call me a Democrat. Go ahead. I'm used to it. I find it to be a badge of honor when the conservatives call me a Democrat and the liberals call me a Republican. That's what being an Independent is nowadays, the punching back for the extremes on the right and the left. :)
