I'm not blaming anyone.................but if the warning given in the "short term" effects was worded a bit differently, I think a few lives would be saved. Consider this as a description of a rare "short term" effect after a whole series of long term effects are discussed in detail

* rapid swelling of the face, extremities, tongue, glottis, and larynx has been reported in patients treated with angiotension-converting enzyme inhibitors. If laryngeal stridor or rapid swelling of the face tongue or glottis occurs, discontinue therapy and institute appropriate therapy immediately.

.....for the unsuspecting patient, this translates to: in a rare, severe allergic reaction which can occur at ANY time after beginning to take this drug, your tongue and larynx in the course of 15 minutes can swell to epic proportions......thus cutting off your windpipe and source of air and unless you whip out and inject your handy dose of adrenaline, or perform a self tracheotomy, you will die on the spot gasping for air before the EMPs arrive............ now, that's how I would word it.
