Hi James: Last Thursday, during his interview on Neil Cavuto's show, Armstrong, the CEO of AT&T, mentioned AT&T was interested in fixed wireless and broadband wireless. This might mean LMDS. However, I interpreted it more as an interest in companies such as WCII and TGNT. Note also that British Telecom, which was to be MCI's partner in its now aborted takeover, has actually performed experimental LMDS tests. If would not be surprised to see foreign telephone companies participate in the bidding, if the WTO agreement is ratified by participating countries.
