"the sensitivity claimed is just not there."

Sensitivity is the amount of warming produced by doubling the CO2 from the pre-industrial baseline of 280 ppm to 560. So far, we've increased it by a bit over 40%, and temps in 2/16 were 1.51 degrees above the pre-industrial baseline. If it is linear, doubling will increase temps by about 3.75 degrees C. The IPCC predicted range is 1.5-4.5 degrees, close to what Arrhenius said in 1896, and we already hit the low end in '16.
