during his tenure as prime minister of canada, i did not see any, or was otherwise aware of any nazi-loving tendencies. the second world war was a tragic and deplorable time for much of the world - not many countries remained unscathed, including canada. the united states also refused jewish refugees. my paternal grandmother was razed by u.s.bomber bullets trying to reach safety from an open field where she was toiling. war is hell. it was not the finest moment for most countries of the world.
