To all Klicsters:

I like this stock but if as a group were going to be waiting a quarter or more before any significant price movement takes place, may I suggest there is better place better place to park your funds.

ATI Technologies (see their thread under semi's) has become the leader in the pc graphics chip and board market. This stock has weathered the Asian flu crisis with miniscule downturn. They announce their quarterly earning this Thursday January 15th before the market opens.

Sales, margin, and market share are all increasing in a growing market segment. They have signed on with at least 7 of the 10 largest PC vendors. Have grown sales 70% annually for the past three years and there is no slowdown in sight.

For fiscal year ended October 97 reported earnings of $1.00 with 35 cents of that coming in the fourth quarter. The mean analyst projection is for 57 cents (From: Financial Post, page 2, Sat Jan 10/98) this quarter (Jan 15 release date). I called Investor Relations and was told they expect their momentun to continue into the next quarter as well. The stocks is currently trading at $32.40 Can.

For a nice insight into this stock, go to the ATI thread posting #356 and klic onto the link to Forbes On-lIne Magazine dated Jan 30/97

Sorry for the long winded diversion. I stumpled badly with KLIC this fall, and will be attempting to recoup some of my losses with ATI Tech. Hope this posting will provitable to some of you as well.

ATI Technologies trades on the TSE with the ticker ATY (ATY.TO on Yahoo quotes)

Jerry - If your out there, options are available on the Montreal Exchange under ATY.
