I don't understand something here. If MOT missing 4 cents is viewed so positively here, hai, how about ORCL? It missed the estimate by the same amount too.. It said the exact same thing as MOT did - Asia hurting the business. There was no preannouncement in either cases.

I'm not suggesting MOT should tank 9 points tommorrow like ORCL did. Just can't understand how the street views these stocks.

Asia has just begun. Trickle down from Asia should take three to six months. The beginning of the whole thing was October, so we see January through say the year 2000 will be effected by Asia.
