If you cover, you pay the tax. So don't cover and hope APM makes it through the year crippled but not bankrupt.

Now, I'm not kidding around about QNTM. I really need to figure out if I want to construct a pair trade...

Re: Elephantiasis of the BALLS

Holy MOLY, 40% shorts. That's confidence. <g>

I fear my own APM shorts are only a measly 3.8%. *boohoo*

Since you ask, I will mention that most of the dissappointers in recent days have closed below their opens -- so I plan to wait until late session to cover. I can't wake up early enough for the open anyway <ggg> -- Pacific time here.

What do you think about holding some through the QNTM, SEG, and WDC reports to come on 1/15, 1/20, and 1/29?

BTW, my APM shorts represent almost 40% of my port. Thanks to ALL who have guided me.

Yea!!!! Todd thanks for your support on the Applied Magnetics thread. The more we got into it, the more time went by, and the more clear it was that APM was in trouble. What a sweet play. My APM short is 100 % of my portfolio. I know, not smart. But I felt better about that position then any other I could think of. And as Ive said, trading is just something I do for fun. Im not covering. Im gonna let my winners run. :) Sorry to the longs who I couldn't convince to sell.

Wooohoooo!!!
