You obviously missed the part about it not being related to a militia. You need better reading skills.

"The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home."

The state Amendments the Second Amendment was based on clearly spell out that it is not dependent on being in a militia.
