You seem to having missed the point, that CH4 and CO2 are believed to having been released in volume from the Deccan Traps. Methan (CH4) is approx 100x more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas, so no wonder, that the methan is rapidly forgotten in his efforts to project the assumed effects on our time, where manmade CO2 is supposed to be the culprit as the CH4 releases - from lifestock and more - can pretty much be neglected due to the tiny amounts.
